The first step: starting my sabbatical

Personal highlights

  1. Sala: small town near Stockholm, only emerged with the mining activities
  2. Silver Mine: important source of lead for Swedeninfo-icon since the 15th century
  3. Excavation: between its beginnings, the mining technique evolved dramatically
  4. Geology: the rocks were formed 2 billion years ago during the Paleoproterozoic
  5. Museum: since 1988 the mine is still and used as an educative museum
