Kakamega National Park

cycling through the last tropical rain forest of Kenya and enjoying the canopy view

Location:

Kakamega National Park, Kenya

Duration:

Saturday, July 2, 2016

Personal highlights

  1. Kakamega Forest: last indigenous tropical rain forest in Kenyainfo-icon (not so dense)
  2. Cycling: by far the best mountain bike I have ever seen (really great suspensions)
  3. Outlook: great view over the treetop canopy (even though the tower burned down)
  4. Rural village: meeting and talking to local people, right next to the national park
  5. Guide: not very insightful, but we definitely would have got lost without him
