Finding Your Own WHY

Find your purpose

Are you happy with your job? Does it bring you anything more than monthly salary and a benefits package? If not, it is time for a change.

You are about to find your calling, inspire everyone and make the world a better place. How? You need to find your own WHY first.

Everybody has it, so do you. It is a big goal, a purpose, which fills your life with meaning. It is something that makes you feel content and fulfilled. You need to find this WHY for yourself, stick to it, follow your heart to be true to this WHY and to make it lit up.

It might take a while to find this WHY, but once you know what it is, all you have to do is put your dreams into action. This is what Simon Sinek is talking about in his book. The author emphasizes that it all starts with individual people. If they find their own WHY, they will be able to inspire others to do the same.

So, there will be a total change in the way business is conducted, in the way we see the world and the events happening in it. This is our chance to make a difference. Listen to the book at Audible.

Right Motivation

Motivate people with the right approach

There are many business courses and motivational videos on the web. There are lots of people who are ready to share their positive experience in making the business successful.

However, many companies still use traditional methods of motivating their employees. They use reward and punishment thinking that those will make their employees work harder. Those techniques work, but only for a short period.

In the long run, they proved to be ineffective. What if those employers inspire everyone, help their workers feel motivated not by increasing their wage by a certain amount every year, but by a great goal the company is moving toward?

This would be a different story. When people are inspired, they love what they are doing; there is no need to give them any reward or punishment. The reason for that is simple. People will be doing their job with pleasure; they will bring innovative ideas and help the company thrive.

Perspective of a Golden Circle

If you heard of Sinek’s Golden Circle then you should know that there are three components in it: the WHY, the WHAT and the HOW.

All of them must be present in any business plan. Sometimes companies focus on the WHAT and the HOW, the product and the process of its production. When they live the WHY behind and forget about the original goal the founder of the company aimed, the company fails.

It is when the business does not inspire everyone, and the workers are simply doing their job just to get paid at the end of the month. However, if you place the WHY in the center of the circle your business will be successful. This leadership model should be adopted by all the entrepreneurs and employers to reach their goals.

Start With WHY and Stay True to It

When the purpose of individual is aligned with the company, you can expect amazing results!

The way to inspire everyone starts with yourself. If you find your personal WHY and a WHY for your business, you will share it with the world and get others inspired and motivated. Getting profit is not a WHY it is not the aim of your business. It is a result of the WHAT and the HOW. Those things are often mixed, and that is why so many good ideas and start-ups fail. So, what can you do become a great leader?

  • Start with WHY. Find your calling, your goal and stick to it. Stay true to it. Do not let your WHY get lost or missing
  • Follow the principles of the Golden Circle. Make sure you communicate them from inside out. Remember that the WHAT and the HOW do not inspire action, but the WHY does
  • Excite people. Encourage them to find the WHY and follow their dreams
  • Stop using client manipulation to increase your profit. This can only work short-term
  • Follow your WHY. Spread your ideas, let the others know the reasons which made you start your business. Thus, you will inspire them to find and follow their WHYs.

By following these ideas, you will be able to grow personally and professionally, and your business will be successful.
